I AM MY SISTER’S KEEPER is a book collaboration aka anthology to be compiled and presented by Courageous Woman Magazine publisher, Telishia Berry.
How do we define a Sister’s Keeper?
A Sister’s Keeper is an encourager. She imparts wisdom to those around her. She holds her sister up but keeps her accountable. She leads, she teaches, she informs, she pushes her sisters to greater heights.
Are you a woman who is a mother, sister, friend, counselor, or minister who has given wise counsel to women experiencing personal life challenges? Your chapter in this book will be an extension of your voice and who you are as a woman who leads, impacts and empowers others.
While going through one of the worst periods of my life, a divorce (after 22 years married), I prayed and asked God for “HELP.” At that time, women of God were coming into my experience on a regular basis, on many occasions. I soon realized that they were the “HELP” I had prayed for. I envisioned them like soldiers coming to rescue me. The women; pastors, evangelist, doctors, and even Sunday school teachers prayed for me, counseled me, encouraged me, and spiritually nursed me back to health, then pushed me like a mama bird pushes her baby birds out of the nest to fly. Through that hardship and triumph, my purpose was being revealed. Part of my purpose is to help women discover their purpose and share their stories in hopes that it will impact and empower women around the world.
The vision for the I Am My Sister’s Keeper authors is to passionately share your story as the opening to sharing your most impactful, empowering words of encouragement and advice to women readers who relate to the topic of your chapter. It is my desire that this book serves as the go-to literary piece for comfort through uplifting stories that offer hope, and help women through their most painful challenges.

Our most recent anthology, Girl, Get Up and Win turned 40 authors into bestselling authors! We are also helping some of them extend their chapters into full books. Our upcoming book, The Making of a Successful Business Woman launches in February with our “Most Courageous Women in Business Brunch and Awards,” March 29 in Los Angeles.

Where will the book be available?
The book will be available at Amazon, bookstores, and other locations online.
Do the co-authors get paid from the book sales?
Co-authors will have the opportunity to earn money by purchasing books wholesale and reselling them, at bookstores, conferences, festivals and hosting their own book signings. The authors will be given tips on hosting events and profiting from the book.
Will there be a book launch party?
Yes, once the book is available a book launch party will be scheduled and held in Los Angeles. Co-authors are also encouraged to have their own book signing parties with friends and family, as well as collaborate with other co-authors to host parties in their city.
The photo is from one of our books signing for What is a Courageous Woman. It was an amazing experience to produce this book featuring 78 co-authors from around the country.
The first book signing for Girl, Get Up and Win was a very exciting day. Authors from all over the country came to Los Angles, California to celebrate their accomplishments of becoming an Amazon number #1 Bestseller. The event took place inside the Baldwin Hills Mall.
Will the author’s names be listed on the book cover?
Yes, all co-author’s names will be included on the back cover of the book.
Will the co-author’s photo be included on the book cover?
Yes, we guarantee the first 16 authors with author package paid in full will have their photo included on the back cover of the book.
Is there a written agreement with the overview of this project?
Yes, there is a basic agreement that includes all the details.
Is there an investment to be part of this book collaboration?
Yes, there is an investment. There are numerous expenses to produce books, from editing to design to distribution, and more. Collaborating with authors helps to reduce the cost because all the authors contribute toward the expenses.
Refund Policy:
Submission fees are non-refundable. If you are unable to submit your chapter by the deadline. Your fee can be applied to another project.
