Local author writes about life growing up in crime- stricken Flint, in efforts of deterring youth from going down the wrong path.
April 18, 2012: Danielle Green local author of ” Coulda Shoulda Woulda” is a college graduate, entrepreneur, and child advocate born and raised in Flint, Michigan.
Green’s book contains 19 cautionary and very descriptive tales of what it’s like grown up in the mean streets of the Flint area. As a youth, Green saw first hand accounts and the aftermath of friends being targeted by violence and even death.
Green wrote “Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda” in an effort to deter and educate youth by letting them know “you don’t have to take the low road, you can take the high road despite your circumstances”.
“Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda” is available on amazon.com and will be available at Barnes and Noble beginning May 19th. Danielle Green will be hosting a book signing at The Flint Public Library on May 19th. 1pm -5pm
Proceeds from “Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda” will go to EMPOWER. EMPOWER is a non-profit 501( c ) organization aimed at young men and women. EMPOWER’S mission to “Prepare our youth to become our leaders of tomorrow” by teaching them life skills, financial literacy and personal development.
