We spoke with Dortha Hise to uncover the deeper story behind her work and the driving force behind her mission. In this candid Q&A, she opens up about her journey, the challenges she’s overcome, and how she’s helping entrepreneurs break free from burnout and build businesses that actually work for them.
"You can't reach the summit while dragging the mountain behind you."
What inspired you to start your business?
I was abandoned three times by the time I was 5 years old. Over my life, I realized the importance of having a trusted network of people and systems around me. I was constantly seeing brilliant entrepreneurs trapped in businesses they built to create freedom, and they were circling the drain of burnout. They had the talent, the clients, and the revenue, yet everything depended on them. I realized the real problem wasn’t effort. It was the structure. When the right systems and delegation frameworks are in place, businesses can scale in a way that actually supports the life the founder wants to live.
What impact do you hope to make through your work?
I want entrepreneurs and business owners to reconnect with the joy that they had when they started their business. When systems, teams, and strategy align, business owners can reconnect with their creativity and their ability to focus on the work that matters to them rather than being bogged down in minutiae.
What advice would you give women entrepreneurs right now?
Answer: Stop believing you have to hold everything together yourself. Asking for help is a form of self-care.
What makes your approach different?
I don’t just give advice, I also help implement the strategy. My work blends consulting, systems design, and operational execution so business owners can move from ideas to real results.
