Let the Brother Speak is a powerful collaborative anthology bringing together 20 Black men from diverse backgrounds to share their truths, experiences, perspectives, and life lessons.
This isn’t just another book. It’s an opportunity to spark conversations, inspire change, strengthen brotherhood, and create a written legacy for generations to come.
You don’t have to be a professional writer. You just need something meaningful to say.
Let the Brother Speak is a collection of authentic, thought-provoking, and inspirational stories written by Black men who are ready to use their voices to encourage, educate, uplift, and empower others.
We are creating a space where men can speak openly about their journeys without judgment, expectations, or limitations.
Whether you’re a father, husband, entrepreneur, pastor, educator, creative, community leader, or a man who has overcome extraordinary challenges, your story deserves to be heard.
Our goal is to publish this meaningful collection during Black History Month 2027, followed by opportunities to celebrate and promote the contributing authors.

Space is limited to up to 25 contributors to create an intimate, meaningful, and impactful collection.
Do I need to be a professional writer?
Absolutely not. We welcome first-time and experienced authors. What matters most is your story, your perspective, and your willingness to share.
How long should my chapter be?
Each contributor should plan to submit approximately 1,000–1,200 words (Approx. 3-5 pages).
Can I choose my own topic?
Yes! Select from our seven chapter categories and develop a story or message that reflects your personal experience.
Can I write about difficult or sensitive experiences?
Yes. We encourage authentic storytelling, including lessons learned from life’s challenges. All submissions will be reviewed for editorial suitability.
Will my chapter be edited?
The publishing team will review submissions as part of the anthology production process. Specific editing services and revision requirements will be outlined in your contributor agreement.
Will I receive a copy of the book?
Yes! Complimentary author copies are included with select contributor packages. The number of copies you receive will depend on your chosen package. Contributors will also have the opportunity to purchase additional copies at discounted author pricing once the book is published. Full details will be provided upon enrollment.
Will I have opportunities to promote my participation?
Absolutely! Every contributor will receive promotional materials to help announce and celebrate their participation in Let the Brother Speak. Depending on your selected package, additional visibility and promotional opportunities may be available to help you expand your reach, showcase your story, and elevate your personal or professional brand.
I have a story to share, but I’m not sure how to write it. Will guidance be provided?
Absolutely! You don’t have to be an experienced writer to become a published author. Dr. Telishia Berry, publisher and bestselling author, will lead a special chapter-writing class to guide contributors through the process of developing, organizing, and structuring their stories from beginning to end. You’ll learn how to create a compelling opening, develop your message, and bring your chapter to a powerful conclusion. You bring the story. We’ll help you put it into words!

The anthology is planned for publication through major online book retail channels, including Amazon.
