Where will the book be available?
The book will be available on Amazon, in bookstores, and in other locations online.
Do the co-authors get paid for the book sales?
Co-authors will have the opportunity to earn money by purchasing discounted copies and reselling them as well as on consignment to bookstores and other retail outlets.
Will there be a book launch party?
Yes, once the book is available a book launch party will be scheduled and held in Los Angeles. Co-authors are also encouraged to have their own book signing parties with friends and family, as well as collaborate with other co-authors to host parties in their city. The photo is from one of our book signings for the collaboration book, What is a Courageous Woman. It was an amazing experience to produce this book featuring 78 co-authors.
Are there any other requirements?
Co-authors are required to submit their material on time by the deadline. No exceptions or refunds. Co-authors are required to participate in the online book signing party and purchase at least one book on Amazon on the day of the party and build a team of 10-25 friends and family to buy the book on the day of the launch party.
Will the authors’ names be listed on the book cover?
Yes, all co-authors’ names will be included on the back cover of the book.
Is there a written agreement with the overview of this project?
Yes, there is a contractual agreement that includes all the details.
Is there an investment to be part of this book collaboration?
Yes, there is a minimal investment. There are numerous expenses to producing books, from editing to design to distribution, and more. Collaborating with authors helps to reduce the cost because all the authors contribute toward the expenses.

It was during her divorce that she used her faith and determination and the $30 she had in her bank account to transform the Courageous Woman Blog into a magazine and distribute 4,000 print copies of the 1st issue. In 2022, Courageous Woman Magazine will celebrate 11 years of publishing, distributing over 2,000 articles, and 150+ cover stories, including celebrities such as Vanessa Bell Calloway, Mo’Nique, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Vickie Winans, Jody Watley, Claressa Shields, and Oleta Adams.
Publishing Books
Telishia is the author of the bestselling novel The Baptist Junkie, which is based on her mother’s true-life story of Faith, Family, and Redemption. The book received rave reviews and has been adapted into a screenplay. It has gained the interest of many Hollywood producers and notable actors. In 2017 Telishia decided to add book publishing as an extension of Courageous Woman Magazine under Strive International Publishing. She has published numerous authors, including gospel music legend Spencer Taylor Jr’s, A Legend Becomes a General: The GodFather of Quartet Music. She has published hundreds of stories that have helped over 200 women become bestselling authors.
Future Endeavors
In addition to writing and producing movies, Telishia is excited about returning to where it all began, the theater. She spent many years acting on stage then went on to write, produce, and direct award-winning musical stage plays. She was recently cast in an upcoming movie and looking forward to performing again.
Awards
She is the recipient of numerous awards, including an honorary doctorate (TIUA), a Lifetime Achievement Award from President Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris, a Humanitarian Award, WIP Award (Women in Power), Phenomenal Woman Award, Resolution Award, Publishing Excellence Award, Best Media Platform Award, and Just For Her Magazine Award for Women in the Arts. She is the mother of four adults: Kendre’ Berry, a film and TV actor, most known for his role as Jabari on the TV sitcom, Girlfriends; Tisha, a filmmaker and official photographer for music artist Ciara; Toi, a fashion model who has worked for numerous fashion companies; and daughter Kennedy, a hair and makeup stylist. She is proud to be called “Granny” by her grandson Ezra.

Yes, publishing books can be quite costly, however as an co-author you only have to contribute a portion of that cost. We take care of all the the production, including editing, proof reading, book design and layout, and because we offer media services, you will also be featured in Courageous Woman Magazine, and promoted via social media.
