Women Songwriters Hall of Fame Unveils 2025 Inductees and Honorees
Columbia, MD – June 21, 2025 – The Women Songwriters Hall of Fame (WSHOF) is proud to announce this year’s inductees and honorees, celebrating those whose songwriting contributions have profoundly shaped music across genres and generations.
2025 Inductees include:
Melba Moore, Tony Award-winning powerhouse renowned for her breathtaking vocal range now highlighted in her latest single, “It Seems to Hang On.”
Brenda Russell, Grammy-nominated composer celebrated for timeless classics like “Piano in the Dark.”
Regina Belle, Grammy award-winning vocalist known for soulful hits such as “A Whole New World.”
Dr. Janice McLean DeLoatch, founder of WSHOF and the visionary committed to promoting equity and recognition for women songwriters.
In addition, Stacy L. Smith, founder of the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative and recipient of the 2025 James Irvine Foundation Leadership Award, is being honored for her groundbreaking advocacy and research advancing inclusion across the entertainment industry.

The 2025 induction gala promises an elegant, impactful evening of performances, reflections, and recognition—marking the first high-profile, East Coast celebration dedicated to uplifting women in music.
