Dr. Gail James is a Christian Counselor, Pastor, C.E.O., Chairman, Author, Motivational Speaker, Mother, Grandmother, and wife. Dr. James owns a home health agency, mental health practice, nonprofit, and wound care clinic in the U.S.V.I. and Florida. Dr. James is a survivor of domestic violence and childhood sexual abuse. She has turned her trauma into triumph.
My chapter, “Pregnant with Purpose,” explains how I overcame while everything was stacked against me. It details how I pushed and pursued purpose while facing everything that exemplified defeat.
What inspired you to write this story and contribute to the book?
I was inspired by the individuals going through similar obstacles as I faced and are in the mental space of giving up, doubting whether they can make it.
