Hello, My fellow mompreneur yes that’s- right you there! So often we thrust ourselves into the beauty of entrepreneurship. expecting to receive quick success, lots of money, loads of fun travel, mornings that we are able to sleep in, and nights that we are able to tuck in early. Did I forget to mention, daily mimosas, gym, happy hour, oh-yes, and the beauty of a lavish life on a yacht?
Good luck finding this mompreneur as entrepreneurship is far from the truth! While our successes do afford us a lifestyle that is meaningful and plentiful, our work hours range from being awake far before the sun rises and working into the wee hours of the night, while everyone else is peacefully sleeping. All of this just to ensure that our dream comes alive!
As a mompreneur, we are also challenged with ensuring that our children’s needs are met and that they too are cultivated and nurtured with love. So often we are pulled between ensuring our first ministry (family) is taken care of and that each person connected to us (including our partners) feels valued. Whew! So just, how do we do it? How do you do it? What is the magic trick to finding the balance to keep so many plates spinning all while achieving the quest to wealth? I am certain that within this article, you will find that balance is a moving target. Then again you may not!
Simply put, we work in WINDOWS! Windows in terms of our hours within a day and in windows because we sometimes have to look out the glass windows and glance at others having the most fun around us. Even after all of this, I assure you, your hard work will pay off!
On the flip side, entrepreneurship brings so many no’s but eventually those no’s yield a yes. A yes, equals success and all you need is one of those to change your trajectory. Perspective is everything and so is your circle. Who you connect and engage with is key to the success of your mompreneur journey. You want other moms who will motivate you and inspire you, moms who will think and dream bigger than you. Moms who will give you honest trust but also moms who will speak life and love within you. Just on the other side of success is our provision to receive the most precious gifts that many mompreneur shares: time, freedom, and option.
We cannot get back time. For many of us, time is the most precious commodity that inspired us to quit our regular 9 to 5 jobs to explore greater. Time allows us to meet new people and try new experiences. Time gives us the freedom we need to be forward thinkers. Freedom is our state of mind. It allows us to experience the basic necessities and gives us the courage to excel in the big ideas without constraints.
Time and freedom both create opportunities. Opportunities are options. Options keep us balanced and give us free choice. Options give us power.
Again, so just what exactly are time, freedom, options, and health? It is wealth!
Wealth is coming my friend! Just keep one foot in Infront of the other, even when the road is tough!
Remember to laugh often, take breaks, and celebrate your wins. Work will always remain but time and the ability to evoke our freedom in options is a reminder that mompreneurs have achieved something that so many people are unable to.
