What motivated you to do this?
The organization was birthed from Ms. Pierre’s very own experience with depression after one event after another in her life. Her first experience was the loss of her father at a very young age followed by the murder of her sister when she was eight months pregnant during her senior year in high school. Then a few years later, the unexpected loss of her mother. The final straw – was an abusive marriage in which she could no longer pretend to be happy. That relationship came to an end and as she navigated through the chaos of her life, Pierre decided to take her power back and regain her strength/wholeness. Pierre reinvented herself by starting with self-love. She invested in therapy and other various activities to regain her happiness.
About Veronique Pierre
She is of Haitian descent, born and raised in the South Florida area. She attended Nova Southeastern University where she obtained her master’s degree in Business Management and minor in Marketing. Pierre is the youngest of five children and a single mother of three. Veronique Pierre is the Founder of the non-profit organization, Roses Without Thorns, Inc., to advocate for the mental health of women. Veronique hosts workshops on mental health and organizes many donation drives for children and at-risk young women. Veronique published her first book, “The Strongest Woman In The World Is You” to guide women on how to fight for their happiness to enhance their quality of life. Veronique launched a t-shirt line “Jesus+Therapy” to raise awareness to not only build a relationship with Christ but consult therapy to receive your full deliverance. Veronique is a legendary woman in this South Florida community with her exemplary and tireless advocacy on critical women’s issues distinguishing herself as an influential community leader. Veronique won various awards such as Shoutout Miami, Voyage Miami, 100 Successful Women in Business, and the League of Legendary Women Award just to name a few. During her free time, Pierre enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, shopping, drawing, dancing, community outreach, and traveling.
