Virgin Islands’ history is replete with enduring examples, change-makers, and innovators shaping our territories’ artistic identity. The name Charlita Schuster is no exception, but somewhat synonymous with this aspect, specifically in the art form of dance expression. For over 40 years, Music in Motion has served on the island of St. Croix, with Alumni spanning generations.
My chapter, “8 Counts Of Faith,” is my testimony to how faith, as a transformation tool, was used to shape my career as a dancer, A mother, and an entrepreneur. I want to inspire others to lean not on their understanding but accept the universe as it is presented.
What inspired you to write this story and contribute to the book?
“8 Counts of Faith” was inspired by my need to leave a footprint for my children and grandchildren regarding the importance of overcoming. Not only trials and tribulations but the importance of faith and receiving blessings
